summer 2012

Summer 2012. For some odd reasons, I am not expecting a lot. Maybe it is because I am finally facing reality and realizing that half the stuff I wanna do probably won’t happen. There was a list that I started making all the way back in Jan. here it is.
I was supposed to spend my summer:
—Doing a teaching internship in India (made it to the interview round. had a phone interview, messed it up and got rejected)
— Two weeks at my best friends wedding in India (Brokea$$, parents arent paying for my ticket)
— Interning at City Year in the city (again, got rejected)

So much rejection in one year bites, it hurts, it knocks you down; thats exactly what it did to me, it knocked me down. Finally, I have been able to get back up and punch it out. I have two interviews tomorrow and Im hoping they both go well so I have a summer job dealing with children then get a side job at a retail place. Places to meet new people and have new adventures. A summer that has at least one thing constant. Lets see where life takes me and how this new chapter starts.
I’ll update you soon; This is going to be my “new constant”

and I’m back….

I haven’t been on since last semester and I kinda miss it. I kinda wanna start a blog this semester and this is the place where i might start it. Blog spot is another place where my thoughts might be written down.
I’m trying really hard to focus this semester and maybe keeping a blog will help me with it. Even with just 4 classes (but 16 credits) I feel like I am off to a good start.

I have two education classes that I absolutely LOVE, calc II with this thick Chinese accent prof who is absolutely crazy but not horrible and last but not least history 1000C with a monotone prof, yea kill me now, but surprisingly hes quite entertaining. Even being 80 years old, hes up to date with all the modern things and actually makes history fun.

About getting involved on campus, well at least with the school of education, I’m getting closer and closer. I finally finished my application for jumpstart and got an interview on wednesday( so excited) hopefully i’ll get that so i have something to do with my life on tuesdays and fridays from 2-5. Then with the school of ed star mentoring thing, hopefully ill get my mentee soon who will teach me somethings and vice versa. It sounds exciting.

Party life fall ‘11….so far sucks. What feels worse, is feeling like an outsider. If my friends do something, they get the full effect of everything whereas I feel perfectly fine. I always get a very small effect of that happens and it truly sucks. So everyone else is having fun, being carefree, and im the one who has to take care of them. -_- oh well, hopefully things will change. What makes things worse is me being a commuter. I’m so tired of lying to my parents of what I’m doing gets so exhausting after a while. Oh well, like I said before, lets hope that everything gets better.

Guess that’s enough for right now. Princess diaries 2 is coming on soon so might as well watch that with some cookies and milk =)

1) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

2) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

3) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.

4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident.

The most recognized symbol for the US,after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Koran, the Islamic holy book:
